New Kamik Boots

I surprisingly get a lot of use out of my weatherproof boots, and not just when I travel– even in the city too! At first thought you wouldn’t think this type of footwear is necessary for Manhattan. I mean, the city is always on top of things when it comes to shoveling snow and keeping sidewalks clear. I remember when I moved here the only pair of boots I owned that were somewhat appropriate for messy weather were my rain boots from college. I quickly learned the hard way that yes, sturdy waterproof shoes are 100% needed. It’s not like you can get from place to place by hopping in your car– everyone walks. Not sure why that wasn’t obvious to me my first winter in New York, but hey lesson learned.

So I absolutely adore the Kamik Evelyn Boots. I got my first pair from Zappos in the tan shade last year and wore them like crazy on snow days– so pumped to now have them in dark brown too! I rocked my new pair last weekend on my day trip out to the North Fork of Long Island (more to come on that) and they couldn’t have been more perfect for trekking around all the vineyards and farms I visited.

The Kamik Evelvn Boots are available in 3 colors at ZapposDark Brown, Tan & Black. At $109 a pair, these are absolutely worth the money. I’m honestly surprised they aren’t priced higher.

What are some of your favorite weather-ready boot brands? I have a few different pairs of sturdy boots, but these are definitely the ones I reach for the most. There are a lot of boots out there that will keep your feet warm and dry, however let’s be real– not all of them are the cutest shoes. A preppy boot you can wear in the dirt and snow that still looks good in photos? Count me in.
