Another day, another Lilly Pulitzer dress! While my closet has no shortage of Lilly, I always like to add a few new pieces to my collection each season. I mean, how could I not when they keep getting better and better?

I knew this tunic had to be mine once I saw the bell sleeves and tassel tie. Two of my favorite details in one dress? Yes, please!

As I’ve gotten a little older, my taste in Lilly has definitely matured. Bright colors will always have my heart. There’s no question about that. But instead of going for the loudest print or a fitted shift, I’ve been asking myself: Would I wear this in five years? Is this a piece I could wear multiple ways? My answers to those questions alone helped me in choosing the crop top and maxi skirt set you saw last week. I mean one outfit that can be worn three ways? Count me in.

The reason why this dress is a win for me is because it doubles as a beach cover up! I love wearing loose cotton dresses over my swimsuits and this one is perfect for getting the job done. I also live in tunics during the summertime and I can easily see myself throwing this one on to head out and run errands. PS it’s available in a pink print too!

You’re probably thinking: How much Lilly Pulitzer does one girl need?! It’s safe to say that  I have enough Lilly to clothe a small army, however one of the aspects I love most about this brand is that it’s timeless. Us Lilly-lovers pass down our prints from generation to generation. So yes, my excuse for having so much Lilly is that one day I can pass down my collection to daughter(s) and granddaughter(s). Anyone else have this philosophy with a brand?
