Home Decor Update | New York City Apartment 2017
New York City Apartment Living Room Minted Photo Art

Happy Friday everyone and happy February! Where is this year going? This month marks two years since we said goodbye to our first apartment in the West Village and hello to the one we now call home. It feels like just yesterday we were moving— where did the time go? We absolutely love our place and actually just renewed our lease for a third year.

Since I’m always sharing photos on Instagram and snapchatting from home, I sometimes forget how long it’s been since I’ve taken you into my apartment here on the blog. We haven’t changed anything drastically since our initial bedroom and living room reveals– only added a few accessories and changed up some of our decor. Click on through to jump to see more!

While our living room furniture and area rug hasn’t changed, I recently switched out our patterned throw pillows for the larger solid-colored styles you see here. Our bright wall art grabs a lot of attention and I found the printed pillows to be too distracting. You may also notice our curtains are different. I was looking for ways to lighten up the room and immediately fell in love with these white valance-style curtain panels. Our original blue curtains worked completely fine, but I find that these white curtains make our space feel a lot larger.

Our bedroom furniture, my vanity and the way I organize my shoes (have you seen the shelves Nick built me??) has stayed the same too, however I love switching up the decor on our bedroom dresser. I copped the antique mirror from my grandparents basement and just have it leaning against the wall. I like to layer different art prints and photos in front of it– just whatever I’m feeling. I also always keep out my fragrances displayed on a tray, a vase full of flowers and my current favorite pair of heels— I’ve been reaching for the Louboutins a ton!

I created this custom framed art print on Minted.com using photos from our 2016 holiday card shoot. It was so easy to compile right on the website. All I had to do was upload the photos I wanted to use and then place them into an outline. You can also add text and switch up the color of the frame too!

This is another custom photo print I created using Minted. Recognize these pictures? Yep these are all from our Hawaii trip! One of the things I love most about blogging is that I will always have a visual record of my travels and experiences, but it’s still really wonderful to physically have images printed and displayed at home. If you’re interested, Minted is actually running a few Valentine’s Day card promotions. Use code SHIPFEB for free priority shipping and code SENDLOVE15 for 15% off!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! xo
