Happy first day of September everyone! This has always been one of my favorite months because it meant going back to school and seeing my friends (I was always sick of summer by end of August), but it’s also my birthday month! I can’t believe I’m turning 26 on the 11th… More to come on that!
While I no longer spend my days in a classroom, I still love a good back to school-inspired outfit. Most of what I’m wearing here was purchased from the Nordstrom trend department (my favorite place to shop since I was 15) and won’t break the bank if you’re on a student or entry-level job budget. Remember this outfit from last fall? It was one of my most popular blog looks so no surprise that I basically recreated it here. All I did was swap out my long-sleeve chambray shirt for a sleeveless sweater and opt for cutout suede sandals instead of Rag & Bone booties. Cute right?
I also love fit and flare style skirts and dresses because they cinch at the waist (so flattering) and don’t uncomfortably hug the booty and thighs. So whether you’re 26 or 16, I’d suggest taking a a-line skirt for a spin! Extra points if you get one that’s corduroy 😛
Big thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
