Pikolinos Sandals in Central Park
Boohoo Off Shoulder Pom Pom Top Pikolinos Maasai Sandal

Guys I finally accomplished something that’s been on my New York City bucket list for almost three years now: having a picnic in Central Park! You would think I would have done one by now? Over the weekend Nick and I hosted his family at our place and on Saturday we ventured uptown with prosecco, cheese, prosciutto and a whole lot of sweets in tow! Comfortable footwear was necessary so I chose to wear my new Pikolinos sandals.

I was wearing…
Pikolinos sandals c/o | Pom pom top c/o (just $26!!)| Mar y Sol tote c/o | Boyfriend shorts Pink mirrored sunglasses | Gold watch | David Yurman bracelets

I love this cute and casual outfit that I wore. Not only are boyfriend shorts a summer staple, but my pom pom off-shoulder top is just $26! Such a steal.

What I love most about this look is the sandals. The colorful fringe beading around the ankle cuff really makes them special and adds a boho vibe. Something you guys should know that may not be apparent from the photos is the high quality leather used in all Pikolinos footwear. It’s really the star of the shoe. The leather is resistant and created using only natural techniques leaving it super soft. You cannot image how happy I was to have pain-free feet while trekking around Central Park!

My particular pair of Pikolinos sandals is part of the Maasai Collection and was hand-stitched by a Maasai woman in Kenya or Tanzania. Essentially, Pikolinos sends their leather to these women who then embroider the colorful designs and beadwork you see on the shoes. I love when brands give back and by allowing these women to work and create footwear, they are giving them the opportunity to make their own income. Awesome right?

Thank you to Pikolinos for sponsoring this post.
