I was wearing…
Echo cape (under $160) | Zara sweater (similar version here) | Kate Spade tote (on major sale!!) | Old Navy scarf & hat c/o | Nordstrom boot socks | ESCADA boots (similar here) | NARS lipstick in “Jungle Red”
So I totally had an Blair Waldorf moment last Sunday at brunch on the Upper East Side. I mean…. I had to take the 6 train to get there, but at least I looked the part! I’d been saving this cape for the right moment and I definitely think I got right. I loved wearing capes in elementary school (even though this boy in my class made fun of me and called me Pocahontas… jerk) so I couldn’t be happier that they are back in style. Seriously though – how fitting was the Ralph Lauren store as a backdrop? It really is NYC’s version of a royal palace. Apparently Ralph Lauren himself lives in the apartment right above the store! I die!

You look perfect. I loved Gossip Girl! I live in Silicon Valley though. If I wore a carp anywhere but a Halloween party I’d be committed to a mental hospital. Sigh…..fashion here is tough. I live vicariously through blogs. Happy Holidays.

Aww you have to come to NYC!

A carp! Obviously I am not wearing a fish. I hate spell check.. A cape! Geez…
