West Village Stroll

Ellington Tote Bag

A spacious bag is a must when you live in a city. Between walking to work everyday, running errands and exploring on the weekends – when I leave my apartment I’m usually away for hours so it’s important to have a lot of my necessities with me. Nick and I did a little West Village exploring on Sunday (what else is new) and my Ellington Handbags tote made the perfect companion. It’s a little bit bigger than my Burberry tote and the shoulder strap is much more comfortable to wear for a longer period of time.

Another thing I love about this bag? It’s deep – aka no chance someone could pick-pocket me! One of my biggest worries with some of the other open totes I own is that someone could easily reach in and grab my wallet, phone etc. This bag is BIG, so all my valuables sit safely at the bottom. Think I need to get this wallet to pair with it…

I’m going to Washington D.C. this weekend! If you have any recommendations for touristy activities, restaurant etc let ya girl know 🙂

  1. Ahh you’re coming to DC! Definitely try one of Jose Andres’ restaurants (reservations can fill up fast, but definitely worth the wait– Oyamel for the margs, Jaleo for the sangria, and he has a couple more), check out the C&O Toe Path in Georgetown (perfect for shooting outfit pics, too!), and definitely the Newseum if you want to be indoors for awhile… it’s not free, but it’s definitely worth the price and everyone has the best time! Have fun – can’t wait to keep up on Insta!

  2. That bag is big and fabulous! I like that is is big in length rather than in width. And it works great to ward off pick-pocketers 🙂

You should go eat at Old Ebbitt Grill! It is absolutely fantastic. I went to DC in the winter so I ordered the Guiness beef stew, but everyone was really happy with their food – there’s not a bad thing on the menu! & the crab dip is a delicious appetizer. You’ll get a lot of food, so go there hungry!

  6. Love this look! Gorgeous photos!

Oh I always get worried about someone reaching into my tote bags, so how deep this bag is sounds like a great plus! Love your outfit, that scarf is beautiful! Hope you have a great weekend in DC!
