I had the most amazing (and picturesque) weekend away in Connecticut visiting my cousins. New England is so beautiful in the fall and I’m happy I was able to see the trees and foliage in all it’s colorful, fall glory. Living in a city really makes you appreciate nature. I took it for granted growing up in the ‘burbs and now I can’t get enough of it when I visit family. We spent the entire day outside on Saturday apple picking, hiking and driving around the countryside – I’ll be sharing more photos on that later this week! (Already posted a few previews on my Instagram!)
The dress I’m wearing is by Free People and I’ve literally had it for YEARS – I’m talking since high school. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought about giving it away during a closet clean out. For some reason I just can’t seem to part with it and this weekend made me happy that I never have. It’s the perfect fall shirt dress and the first thing I think to wear for a day in the country. But next time I wear it I’d definitely cinch it at the waist with this belt (like I did in this look). Silly me thought that I’d forgot to pack a belt and of course when I later went to look in my suitcase (after taking these pictures) I saw that I did in fact to remember to bring one. Oh wells.
Hope you all had a nice and relaxing fall weekend! As for me I’m back to work today. I have a crazy busy week ahead of me so wish me luck! xo
