Most-Worn of the Spring & Summer

I really cannot believe it’s September. This summer flew by for me – anyone else? I think this is a sign of my transition into adult life, the seasons just flow together and life doesn’t revolve around summer vacation. Scary stuff! :/

Since I’ll soon be transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall, I thought it was only fitting to dedicate a post to some of my most-worn items of the spring and summer. Out of everything I’ve acquired over the past few months, these are the four pieces that stand out as my best of the spring and summer – what do you guys think? I wore these items on a weekly basis and now consider them closet staples. It kinda makes me sad thinking that I’ll soon be putting some of them away but I’m excited to see what items end up being my fall and winter favorites 🙂

I’ve never been much of a hat girl, but my Free People Panama hat has totally changed my mind. I originally purchased this hat for my vacation to Jamaica and I was pleasantly surprised when I ended up frequently wearing it around the city this summer. It kept the sun off my face, matched with everything and hid my hair when it got frizzy. Best part – it was affordable! See here how I wore it around the west village, for a brunch look and on the beach.
You guys have seen SO much of my Tory Burch 797 satchel. This bag was my big spring purchase from the Shopbop rewards sale and it didn’t disappoint. Navy blue is one of my favorite colors to wear and this bag paired well with some many of my spring and summer outfits. See me wearing it with a neon skirt here, a cold day look here and with a cocktail dress. If you’re thinking of investing in a Tory Burch bag now’s the time to do it – today is the last day to get 30% off during TB’s Labor Day sale!
When I received this vest as a gift from Silver Jeans Co. when I went to the fall preview back in March I really didn’t think much of it. I hung it in my closet and forgot about it until June when I pulled it out and a love affair was born. This vest was definitely my surprise favorite of the summer. It was perfect for covering bra straps and added that perfect extra element to my summer dress looks.
I think from now I’m going to start purchasing more of my shoes from Zara. Zara footwear is affordable and surprisingly holds up really well. I wore these sandals ALL summer – even on my walks to and from work. The heel is just the right height and they match with everything. Super sad about having to put these babies away!
What were your favorite and most-worn items of the spring and summer? Happy Labor Day everyone!
