Little Details

As you guys have probably noticed, my outfits lately have been a lot more dressed down and casual. It's weird having my outfit of choice be shorts and a tee or a long maxi dress and jean jacket. I haven't really been wearing any makeup either besides a tinted moisturizer and lipstick. But I think that's one of the things I enjoy most about summer: not having to try so hard. 

This Joie top and my Madewell shorts just go so effortlessly together. And I know you can't tell from the photos but I cannot describe how soft the fabric is on this top! It's made of such a luxe silk that I didn't want to add in too many accessories to take away from how beautiful it looks and feels.

Summer Brights

I didn't purposely plan to wear all J. Crew when I put together this outfit but I just couldn't help it. I would live in all J. Crew if I could! These cream sickle colored jeans just looked perfect with my neon yellow striped top. I also think my straw sun hat adds a nice touch to the look. Casual and comfy for summer. Just how I like it :)

Swimwear Lusts

So far this summer I have been spending a lot of time by the pool. Though I usually tend to favor simple, strapless bikinis (nothing worse than an awkward tan line) I've found myself lusting after a few unique, statement swimsuits I've seen online. Which one is your favorite? I'm personally digging the Mara Hoffman purple plunge one piece.

I've been living in simple summer outfits lately. I like to dress up a t-shirt by layering necklaces. This chain link necklace from J. Crew pairs perfectly with my delicate Tiffany & Co. pendant. Add on some aviators and comfy flats and I'm good to go!

Summer Dress Style

During the summer I live in dresses. When it's 95 degrees out and the air is humid, there is nothing worse than having to pull on a pair of sticky jeans. I like mini dresses for nights out, midi dresses for afternoons by the pool and maxi dresses during the day when I'm running errands.

Since my plan is to move to NYC I figured it was time to start investing in some flat, comfy shoes rather than the heels I usually favor. I snagged this RACHEL Rachel Roy dress on sale at Macy's a few months ago. It's the perfect strapless dress to just throw on when you want a look that's elegant but comfortable. If you guys haven't checked out Rachel Roy's more moderately priced RACHEL line at Macy's you need to do so asap. Great youthful and trendy designs with great price tags. Macys.com has some awesome dresses from the RACHEL line on sale now. I like this one, this one, and this one!

Neon + Chambray

Ever since I bought this J. Crew chambray top I've been wearing it like crazy. Another trend I've been enjoying lately too is neons. I paired the two together by wearing my chambray top + some neon bracelets I recently bought from Forever21. I think the two work well together along with my pastel sweatshirt and floral jeans! A Denim Moment

This week my newest obsession would have to be denim jackets. If you saw my latest post or my haul video on YouTube, you know I just bought a denim jacket from H&M last week. I tried to find mine online but unfortunately H&M's website is very limited, searching in-store for it would probably be your best bet! Anyways, here are a few more I adore. Jean Jacket

While in Boston I made it my mission to find the perfect jean jacket. After some searching, I finally found one that was both affordable ($29.99!) and of good quality at H&M. I can't wait to wear it layered over dresses during the summer! 

In other shopping-related news you guys can see I am now the proud owner of a Coach classic leather shoulder purse! When we were in the Coach store my aunt saw me staring at it and was nice enough to purchase it for me as a gift. Thanks Aunt Jen!

Life Lately

Whenever I go to stay with my cousins in Connecticut it's almost as if reality halts and my "real life" is put on hold. Their home is on 64 acres of land, full of wildlife and forest, neatly tucked away from the rest of the world. I've been thoroughly enjoying relaxing, spending time by the pool, walking the trails, reading some new books and using Instagram (clearly).

Today my aunt is taking me and my cousin Georgie up to Boston for two days of shopping and dining. Not sure how much shopping I'm going to be doing due to my post-grad budget but regardless nothing beats spending time with family and seeing new sites.

Garden Graduation

I'm in Connecticut for about 10 days spending some time with my cousins at their home. This past Friday my cousin Georgie graduated from high school and this is what I wore to her graduation. I bought this floral, strapless dress from Forever21 about two years ago and to this day I still love it. Often the clothes I buy from Forever21 really only last me a year. After a few washes and time in the dryer, I just feel like they lose their quality. I still like this dress though. It's perfect and fun for summer. 

Oh almost forgot! I got my hair colored. Love my bright blonde hair for summer :)
