I think the Topshop boyfriend blazer I bought last week has been one of my smartest purchases this year. I love the idea of a casual blazer in a fun color, ready to be thrown on before heading out the door for dinner or a night out. I browsed some of my favorite sites and found a few more I adore. Some of my fondest childhood memories are swimming at our country club's pool with my family during the summers. The past few summers I unfortunately have only been able to go to the pool a few times due to my internships and summer jobs. Luckily Nick and I were able to head over for a few hours on Memorial Day. I wore my Lilly Pulitzer beach pants and a new crop top from American Eagle. Nick said I looked like a gypsy. Memorial Day Weekend

I just can't catch a break when it comes to weather here at home. It's been nonstop on and off rain since I've arrived home and it's becoming terribly annoying. It's just so hard to want to get dolled up and dressed nice when it's so wet and humid. Here's an outfit I wore to my Mom's for a pre-memorial dinner. I love my new Dooney & Bourke purse I got from Nick's family for graduation. It's the perfect size for carrying around my essentials and I adore the print. The yellow and white stripes remind me of a beach umbrella. Perfect for summer and sun (well, maybe no sun...yet).

If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram you know that I recently spent the afternoon in NYC. Nick had some career-related meetings in the city, so I decided to tag along and take the subway down to Soho while he was busy. I've been dying to go to TopShop's NYC flagship store for years so you can imagine it was the first store on my list. Literally everything in Topshop I could see myself wearing. Literally everything! It was so hard to choose just exactly what I wanted to purchase, but after some indecisive wandering I ended up walking out with this blazer and a pastel ring stack. A lightweight, pastel blazer is the perfect statement piece for summer. Appropriate for both work and play.

Poolside Essentials

I'm finally home and getting settled into a post-grad life back in Pennsylvania. While I know I'll only be home temporarily, I'm hoping to fit in some summer fun in between looking for jobs and planning my future. Our country club is only a minute away down the road so I love heading over there in the afternoons to lay by the pool and work on my tan. When it comes to choosing my poolside outfit I usually go for a variation of what you can see above. A cute bikini, flats, spacious tote bag, hat, cover up, minimal jewelry and bronzer -- the essentials! What's your typical poolside outfit?

Graduation Weekend

I graduated from Elon University yesterday and tomorrow will mark my last time making the eight hour drive home to Pennsylvania. While I'm ready to make the transition from full-time student to full-time employee, I can't help but get emotional about leaving my life here in North Carolina. While living far from home has forced me to take on basic adult survival skills (cooking, budgeting, time management, cleaning), my life during college really has been relatively carefree and simple. While I'm not sad about growing up, I am slightly scared about what life will be like without my friends. The handful of girls that I plan on continuing to have in my life after graduation (and who I know will one day be bridesmaids in my wedding) have given me so much and words can't describe how thankful I am to have them in my life. We may not have spent every waking minute together throughout our past four years, but they have always been fiercely loyal and the girls I could turn to when times got tough. My college education has given me many things, but I find nothing more valuable then the relationships and life experiences I've obtained during my past four years. Thank you Elon for giving me best friends as well as a man who I love beyond words. Thank you for my prestigious education as well as a life-changing study abroad experience. I will always look back fondly on my college years and can't wait to tell stories of Elon to the people I have yet to meet down my road. I feel so blessed and will always hold Elon in my heart. #tearfallsonkeyboard

Floral Dream

Wore this floral high-low dress to the senior class gala at my university last night. I love the pink glow the setting sun casts on the photos. Usually Nick and I take photos during the day but I think taking them in the evening adds a more romantic element. I love getting dressed up for nights out, so I'm happy I could share this look with you guys!

P.S. I graduate in 2 days! Eeek!

How To: Natural Waves

For years I've struggled with figuring out a simple, go-to way to achieve effortless wavy hair. I've tried straightening irons, curling irons, and hot rollers but my favorite tool to use by far is a clip-less curling iron. The one I own is the Jose Eber multi barrel clip-less curling iron. It comes with three interchangeable wands, and my favorite to use is the largest.

Let's Talk Graduation...

I know you're all probably sick and tired of me talking about classes, finals and my upcoming graduation from college. Trust me, I'm sick of it too! But regardless, whether you're graduating from high school, college or just moving on to another chapter in your life -- May is the perfect month to invest in a special occasion dress. I usually love to keep it simple with solid colors and clean cuts but I couldn't help but be drawn to silk and floral prints when picking out my own graduation dress. Maxi Moment

Hey everyone! I'm extremely busy working on my senior seminar final presentation and paper. Can't wait until tomorrow when I present and can say I'm finally done.
