Tomorrow is the start of my last full week of classes as a college student! Needless to say I can't wait for it to be over. My workload is crazy right now with projects, studying and papers. I know I'll miss college once I'm graduated but right now all I can think about is how happy I'll be when I take my last final exam two weeks from now.

Rainy Day Wear

This morning I woke to pouring rain and thunderstorms so I thought for sure my picture taking plans would be ruined. Fortunately for me the clouds cleared around 3 p.m. and Nick and I were able to step out for some shots. The weather actually seemed to do a complete 360 as we were greeted by sunny skies and 70 degree heat. I bought this raincoat from Sears before I studied abroad in South Africa for fear of getting caught in a rainstorm while out touring and volunteering. It didn't rain once while I was abroad (thank you God!) however I've been getting a lot of use out of it lately here back home.

Casual Pink

It was rainy for a few days straight but Nick and I finally found the time to take some pictures this afternoon as the weather cleared. Since the temperatures have cooled down I layered an old Theory blouse I've had for a few years over my short-sleeved top and skirt. Pink and grey has always been one of my favorite color combinations. Speaking of color combos what do you think of my purple and teal nails? I'd painted them purple but at the last second added the teal stripe to my middle three fingers. Not bad right?

Just a few gift ideas for the upcoming graduate in your life. I kind of went off of my own graduation gift wishes when compiling this list (hint hint family!) but I think any of the above would be great options for a fashionable grad. Lilly Scarf

My freshman year of college I developed an extreme Lilly Pulitzer obsession. Basically all I wanted to wear was Lilly and I think a lot of it had to do with my university being a southern school and the preppy mentality that my campus seems to project on everyone. Over time I've found a few others brands I love that pair perfectly with all my Lilly Pulitzer pieces. My murfee scarf is one of those classic Lilly items I that I wear time and time again. It's unbelievably soft and adds a pop of bright color to any outfit.

All American

Sundays for me are all about comfort, as I'm sure they are for many of you. I had some errands to run so I decided to keep it casual with my new striped cotton tee from Madewell and some baggy boyfriend jeans (they're SO comfortable!) New Trench

I wasn't sure if I was going to get a chance to wear my new Madewell trench this spring but the weather has been cold this week so I was able to finally break it out! Graduation is coming up soon for me (4 weeks left)! So I'm trying to enjoy my college life as much as I can before real life hits this summer. My goal is to move to New York City with Nick once we both get jobs and are settled back home. I'm definitely ready to leave the south and get back to my roots in the northeast!

A Night Look

Here's a look that I'd wear out on a date or to the bar with my friends. Although the jeans and tee are casual, I think the faux leather jacket and black pumps really dress up the look. P.S. I'm obsessed with my new J Brand floral jeans! As soon as I started seeing the floral jean trend I knew I had to get a pair but was wary of buying a pair that was too bright or had a busy pattern. I think this pair is perfect because the floral pattern is simple and the grey color matches with everything.

Pink Slip

I hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend! This year will be my last year away from my family during the Easter holiday. Since I go to school eight hours away from home I haven't been able to celebrate with them since my senior year of high school. Looking forward to next year when I'll hopefully (finger crossed) be employed, living in my own apartment and back home in the northeast. 

This dress is from Rebecca Taylor's spring line. Was planning on saving it for graduation parties/family events in May but I couldn't help breaking it out early. Don't you love the open back?

Swinging

So for the past few months I've known I wanted to invest in a new high-end handbag. As much as I would've liked to splurge on a Louis Vuitton or a Proenza Schouler I had to keep my budget under $400. I also knew I wanted something simple, timeless and made of leather. A Rebecca Minkoff handbag was the obvious choice. Right now it seems like the MAC Mini is the new "it" bag but when I looked online her Swing handbag just called to me. Perfect size. Perfect color. Perfect feel. And versatile (I love the double chain!)
