My New York Fashion Week Experience
As many of you know I just moved to New York City and started a freelance job with a fashion PR agency. One of my job duties during fashion week was assisting on site at the shows my agency was running. In total I worked six shows – Prabal Gurung, Tory Burch, Anna Sui, 3.1 Phillip Lim and a few others. It was a totally surreal experience. The hours were long and tough – I’m talking 8am to 10:30pm some days. But it was 100% worth it. I learned so much and now know this is an industry I want to be in long term.
Above are a few snapshots I Instagramed (@KatiesBliss) during the past week. I loved seeing supermodel Joan Smalls on the runway at Tory Burch as well as blogger Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. The photo of me is one I snapped of myself on a 6am cab ride to Lincoln Center (fun, right?).
I will most likely be returning to a normal 3x per week blogging schedule in the next few days. As you’ve probably noticed things have been a little crazy with me. Nick and I are moving into our very first NYC apartment this weekend so hopefully next week things will start to calm down! Wish us luck and thank you again for the continued support.
