The Coziest of Sweaters

During the winter I am all about sweaters but for some reason it is just not getting cold this year! North Carolina is still reaching temperatures in the 70s and even the northeast is warmer than usual. While home in Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving there were a few days cold enough for me to break out my favorite comfy looks. Introducing my J. Crew Dream Dolman over sized sweater. Words cannot describe how much of a dream this sweater actually is. It's the perfect blend of wool, cashmere and nylon plus it is incredibly warm. I have feeling I will be wearing this a lot once the temperatures drop for good. Do you have a favorite go-to sweater for wintertime?

Chevron

DSC_9544

I recently wore this dress on a dinner outing at the country club where my family has a membership (hence the golf course background). I love the mint green and peach chevron pattern on the knit fabric of the dress. Milly dresses are so simple and feminine but always on trend. If I could wear all Milly I would but the somewhat lofty price range of the line has limited me to only a few pieces. Next Target designer partnership? #inmydreams

Floral Fall

DSC_9506
Discovered this Free People floral number from years past hiding in a closet in one of my Grandma's guest bedrooms a few days ago. I remember buying this dress five years earlier when I was in high school. Back then I remember not knowing how to wear it and feeling awkward in such a country/boho style dress. Not sure why I felt that way because when paired with boots and a faux fur vest the dress looks great. I love finding clothes from years past and falling in love with them once again, just as if they were brand new.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful time with your family and friends. I spent mine at home in Pennsylvania enjoying good food and quality time with my loved ones.

Thanksgiving Break Beauty

Klorane soothing eye make-up remover / Clinique Comfort on Call face cream / June Jacobs papaya purifying mask
Oscar Blandi protein mist / Moroccan Oil hair treatment

Clockwise from left: Lush Mint Julips lip scrub / Revlon lipstick in Plumalicious, MAC mineralize blushes in Warm Soul & Gentle / MAC eyeshadows in Shroom, Nehru, Soft Brown, & Sable / NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Bronze

Thanks to the rain that never seems to go away, I wasn't able to make it outdoors to take outfit pictures for today. Instead I decided to take some pictures of my beauty favorites that I brought home for Thanksgiving break.

The first photo shows three items I've been using on my skin everyday. I absolutely adore the Klorane eye make-up remover and June Jacobs mask that I received as samples in a Birchbox. Been using them both regularly along with my Comfort on Call to keep my skin clean and moisturized.

For my hair I've been keeping it simple with my Oscar Blandi protein spray that I also received in a Birchbox. I use it as a detangler and conditioner on my hair prior to blow drying and straightening. The Moroccan oil is a newer purchase that I've been using as hair treatment. It's a hair lifesaver!

For makeup I'm really liking a statement berry lip with simple eyes and a colored cheek. I'm a big fan of MAC mineralize blushes and eyeshadows. Both are very pigmented and long-lasting!

The Cable Knit Sweater

I'm finally home for the Thanksgiving holiday and happy to be away from North Carolina's unpredictable temperatures. My first day home I decided to break out my new cream cable knit sweater from Zara. I cannot explain how warm this sweater is. Keeping with the comfort trend I paired my sweater with black leggings and tall boots. The perfect outfit to go see a matinee showing of Twilight: Breaking Dawn with my boyfriend.

Holiday Sparkle

It's that time of year again. The time of year where all I can think about is holiday parties and GLITTER. All types of glitter are on my mind right now. Sequins. Sparkles. Beads. Metallic lace. Shimmer. Glimmer. I love it all! Below are some sparkling items I'm lusting after for the upcoming holiday season.
My lusts!
