I Love Sparkly, Neon Bikinis

I went to Victoria's Secret for the first time in months yesterday and within minutes of entering the store my obsession with bikinis was reignited. I couldn't help but be drawn to all the bright neons and sequins on all the swimsuits. Some may call it tacky but when else in my life am I going to be able to get away with wearing a neon yellow sequined swimsuit? This year I'm gonna take advantage of my youth and buy everything single obnoxiously adorned bikini I can!

Anyone else love tacky swimsuits?

Trend: Nude Shoes

Being the simple, ladylike girl that I am (maybe?) obviously I'm into ladylike colors; light pink, beige, peach, mint, taupe, brown. All of these colors fall among my favorites especially when it comes to shoes. Browsing websites like ShopBop, Bluefly and Bloomingdales this season has been torture for me because everywhere I look nude shoes are in. Even though I probably won't be buying a girl can look right?

Spring Lust: Ladylike Handbags

Lust: Ladylike Handbags

Lust: Ladylike Handbags by PinkBeautyBliss featuring pocket handbags

There are so many trends this spring that I am lusting over, one in particular would be ladylike handbags. There is just something so refined about a sturdy, structured leather bag that screams Audrey Hepburn but also your everyday modern girl. Obsessed.

Celebrity Style - Kendall Jenner

As everyone knows I am obsessed with the Kardashians, especially their style, and little sister Kendall Jenner is no exception. I remember seeing her on Keeping up with the Kardashians as one of the child halfsisters but in the past year Kendall has really turned into a young trendsetter in her own right. She's already modeled for Forever21, Nordstrom, and Luca Couture and also walked many red carpets. I look forward to seeing what else comes from her in the future.

I love the exaggerated shoulders trend. This blue cocktail dress paired with black booties looks perfect on Kendall.
Here is my interpretation of her look. Of course I had to a include a sequined dress and a statement clutch.

What do you think of Kendall's style?

A Pink and Black Tea Party

Over the past year I've slowly been migrating away from dressing like a preppy southern belle. When I came to college I was definitely guilty of being one of those girls whose style completely changed to adapt to the ultra-conservative and Lily-Pulitzer-wearing environment surrounding her. Since I go to a southern school there is never a shortage of J Crew-clad girls and bow-tie-sporting boys (gag) wherever I go. But every once in a while my uber-preppiness will return just like it did this past weekend at my sorority's alumni tea party. I was also beyond excited when we were told we could wear a derby hat (helllooooooo lovely Forever21 $5 floppy hat)!

I love the gold chain detail on this Milly dress. The design of it is simple but so flattering at the same time. This was the first time I wore it and it still fit like a glove like it did in the dressing room over a year ago.

I wanted to wear sandals but didn't really have any that matched. These Via Spiga slingbacks had to do.

Pictures from the tea party! My sisters all looked so lovely.

Dress - Milly (Fall RTW 2010) / Shoes - Via Spiga / Hat - Forever21 / Pearl Earrings & Necklace - gift from my boyfriend

Has your style ever been influenced by the people around you? What do you think of my super preppy look?
